My instructor decided to take the 100 Burpee Challenge: 100 burpees for 40 days, from the beginning of Lent until Easter. As a result, we did 40 of the god-forsaken things today during warm-ups.


However, rolling went pretty well. I realized exactly how bad my open guard is; I definitely prefer closed guard, but we went over a couple of cool sweeps from the Spider Guard and I think I’m going to try working it into my game more often. It’s difficult, odd and it takes a lot of core/extra loose hips to maintain the position. Maybe that’s why I kind of like it.
